I wonder what would happen to a speaker in the Theocratic Ministry School or public talk if he imitated Lett.
Maybe one of the sisters could give it a try. It would be interesting to try his delivery in the door to door work.
so, i am reposting this video from wifibandit's thread since it is a bit off topic.
i watched this video and i have to say that this guy really creeps me out.
his slow and methodical gestures coupled with with his over-annuciation of every word makes him appear absolutely crazy!.

jesus was a jew who apparently thought he was the messiah, however, after dying, his disciples began to propagate the lie that he would return from heaven during his generation.
but, his generation passed away, and it was clear that it was a false prophecy, then a dishonest christian wrote the second letter of peter so as to condemn those who realised that the prophecy was a fiasco.
interestingly, and sadly, this religion survived,....why????
opusdei1972, "Christianity: The most deceptive religion"
Why the most deceptive? Are you saying that other religions like Islam are less deceptive?

i am sort of new here, used a different username for a while but things got 'difficult' at home so i've since been lurking.... what i would be really interested to know, if you don't mind sharing, is what it was that triggered your doubts and initial research which led to awakening, was it a bad experience, injustice, changed doctrine?
for me, it was seeing mistreatment of young ones in the congregation, they're under so much pressure and as soon as they go even slightly astray they are shunned, either informally (as bad associations which pushes them further into the 'world') or formally - with elders dying to throw the book at them so they even lose their family.... ...then reading about child abuse issues in the press.... ...which led me to silentlambs.
...then jw facts, this forum and coc, wham!
For me it was their arrogant, self-worshipping attitude.
The elder that first studied with me said that the organization was just like a beast of burden for Jehovah. That sounded humble but the following years showed that the organization was no where like that.
First there was a statement I heard from the platform that went "An elderly woman once said that when the Watchtower came in the mail it was like opening a letter from Jehovah." The elder told us that was a fine attitude to have.
Then I heard the oft quoted statement: "Even if the organization is wrong how dare you correct it, you're running ahead of Jehovah."
Finally there was the comparison of a scripture that spoke about the ark of the covenant which was being transported in a cart and was in danger of falling down. Then a person went to keep the ark from falling off and was instantly killed by Jehovah for touching it. Of course the ark of the covenant represented the organization and the unlucky man represented anyone who would dare correct it.
jwfacts show that publisher growth was 15% pre- 1975 and has decline to about 2%.
what prevents them from fudging the annual growth and keeping it at something more positive like 10%?.
"a great crowd that no man is able to number".
John Aquila, "A great crowd that no man is able to number"
Excellent point! I never thought of that.
As for the fudging that has taken place the question is why they don't invent their figures completely without having to fudge?
you know about my not-so-ugly divorce and how me and my wife found out the religion is false.
she still attends while my 17 year old has been raging on me about all the wasted time he suffered from by being in this religion.
he think's his life is ruined, very angry we did not learn this was a cult earlier(he was 14 when he stopped attending after reading the revelation book, he said "in all time and history, how could a trumpet blown in revelation have anything to do with a jw bible student convention statement"?.
quote from the watchtower, march 15, 2015, page 23:.
in the illustration of the faithful and discreet slave, jesus spoke of an evil slave who beat his fellow slaves.
jesus was not there foretelling that an evil slave class would arise.
No evil slave? There goes one of our titles. I used to wear it with pride imagining a crown on my head with "evil slave" written on it.
i worked a different shift.
i knew the people i worked with, but not as well as i could have.. anyway, religion comes up.
one guy mentions in front of another that i wrote a book about my religious experience.
after leaving the organisation 10 years ago i fought with everything i had to stay in my marriage and with my three children.
after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.
the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Who has custody of the children?
